Spring is here and that means more time in the great outdoors for you and your dog! That also means it's time to watch for rattlesnakes out on the trails.
The rattlesnake vaccine won't keep the snakes away from your dog, but it might give you the extra time you need to get to the hospital. Vaccinated dogs bitten by snakes usually have less swelling and require much shorter hospitalization than unvaccinated dogs. We recommend vaccination against rattlesnake venom in early spring for the best level of protection all summer and autumn.
